Release time: 2019-11-23 Visits: Times
Granite belongs to intrusive rocks in acidic (SiO2> 66%) magmatic rocks. It is the most common type of rock mass in this category, mostly with light flesh bright red, light gray, and grayish white. Medium coarse grain, fine grain structure, block structure. There are also speckle structures, spherical structures, gneiss-like structures, and so on. Important minerals are quartz, potash feldspar and acid plagioclase. Secondary minerals are biotite, hornblende, and sometimes a small amount of pyroxene. There are more and more types of secondary minerals. The more common ones are magnetite, vermiculite, zircon, apatite, tourmaline, and fluorite.

Quartz composition is relatively large in various types of magmatic rocks, and its composition can be from 20-50%, and very few can reach 50-60%. Potash feldspar usually has more components than plagioclase. The relationship between the composition ratio of the two is often that potassium feldspar accounts for two-thirds of the total production of feldspar, plagioclase accounts for one-third, and potassium feldspar In granite, it is mostly light flesh and bright red, and it is also grayish white and gray.

Granite can also be further named according to the type of minerals that are darker, such as darker minerals, importantly biotite, which can be called biotite granite. It is a more common type of granite. If it is biotite and muscovite, the composition is close and equal, it can be called two mica granite.
